It was with great pleasure that we attended the press conference for the presentation of the “1st Alexander The Great Forum”, the First Indian-Greek Cultural-Business Forum, which will take place in New Delhi on July 4-5, 2022. The Forum is organized by the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Economy with the support of Mact Media Group.

The press conference took place at the “Amalia” hotel, where many representatives of Ministries and the Attica Region, business executives and journalists attended. Among those who attended were the Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of India in Greece Mr. Nirmesh Kumar, Mr. Michalis Demestihas on behalf of the Directorate for the Armed Forces Real Estate Development of the Ministry of Defense as well as Mr. Saranteas Nikolaos, Business Consultant and Vice-President at the Greek Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce.

The press conference was led by Mr. Angelos Tsavdaris, President of the Hellenic-Indian Chamber, Mr. George Karachristos, Director of Mact Media Group and Mr. Vassilis Stefatos, Investment Officer of the Chamber, while the General Secretary of the Chamber in India sent a video-greeting.

The main goal of the Forum is to strengthen the cultural and trade relations between the two countries. The Forum will have twelve sections on which B2B meetings will take place. These sections are:

1. Shipping
2. Energy – Renewable sources – Electricity
3. High technology
4. Tourism
5. Food – drinks
6. Education
7. Transport logistics
8. Constructions, studies, building materials
9. Real estate – Golden visa
10. Medicines – medical tools
11. Culture – film companies
12. Banking sector – Finance

Mr. Tsavdaris pointed out that the Forum will be held in accordance to the needs of the participants, the companies that will participate and the relevant sectors and that proposals made to the Indian entrepreneurs have to be targeted and specific in order to be successful.

“Oikonomakis Law” supports this new effort of the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Economy as it is a very promising forum that will strengthen Greek-Indian relations in the economic and business sector and will truly support Greek entrepreneurs who want to cooperate with companies in India.
