On Wednesday 30 September 2020, at the Center for Dissemination of Research Results of Thessaloniki it took place the conference/workshop under the European Programme “InSPIREurope: Supporting Researchers at Risk”, with object and targeting from the participants and the competent bodies involved, to shape a strong European alliance against the discrimination, persecution, harassment or violence suffered by refugees/ prosecuted researchers and academics, providing them support in their attempt to seek for a safe working place within Europe.
The Aristotle University has a leading role to this particular Programme, involving as many competent bodies as possible, not only in the academic circle but to the Local Government, from the Commercial Chambers and businesses as well, but also involving more generally, scientists and professionals from as many working places as possible.
In this framework it was addressed by the Associate Professor of Biology Mr Alexandros Triantafyllidis, Scientific Principal for the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a completely honorable invitation to our Law Firm “OIKONOMAKIS CHRISTOS GLOBAL LAW FIRM” and was represented by our associate of our office in Thessaloniki Mr Spiros Statiris.
We responded in this invitation with a great pleasure for this event, which mostly conducted online, with a small amount of participants to be permitted to attend it physically, due to the strict protocol restrictions in regards to hygiene and safety during the difficult times of this pandemic.
