The “Hellenic Boxing Federation” was founded in 1951, in Athens by athletic clubs that formed boxing classes. The “Hellenic Boxing Federation” is a member to Amateur International Boxing Association and European Amateur Boxing Association, as well as the World Amateur Boxing Federation. It is the institution responsible for the organization and conduct of all national championships as well as for the formation of the National Team of Greece.
