Oikonomakis Law Issues Golden Visa for Our U.S. Client – July 2024 – Greece

At Oikonomakis Law, our specialized attorneys in international investments and immigration law are pleased to have facilitated the issuance of a Golden Visa for our client, a U.S. citizen.

The Golden Visa is a five-year residence permit granted to non-EU nationals who purchase real estate valued at:

€800,000 – For the Attica Region, the Thessaloniki Regional Unit of Central Macedonia, the Mykonos and Santorini Regional Units of the South Aegean Region, and for islands with a population exceeding 3,100 according to the latest census.

€400,000 – For other areas of the country.

€250,000 – For the entire country, but only for properties that: a) Change the use of main areas to residential, including shops, offices, or properties consisting of industrial buildings or parts thereof, provided no functioning industry has been established there for at least the last five years. b) Consist of a listed building or part of a listed building that must be restored or reconstructed, or includes a listed building.

With extensive experience in this field, our firm managed every stage of the process to enable our client to purchase a property in the Attica Region, specifically in the South Athens Regional Unit, Glyfada Municipality, within the approved urban planning of the municipality, in Terpsithea on Saint Tryphon Street (formerly Thouria), at a price of €550,000.

By submitting all necessary documents and closely monitoring the process from start to finish, we issued the relevant residence permit, ensuring the timely and flawless execution of the investment and meeting all the criteria required by the applicable legislation.
