What is a Trade Secret?

Also, it needs to have value in trade world, as it remains unrevealed. Except from these, the holder of the secret has to do specific actions for its protection, such as to sign confidentiality agreements with employees and partners. The revelation or use of the secret information is method of unfair competition and constitutes a breach of secret’s protection. However, the consideration of an act as a violation depends on each case’s facts. Although the secret information is protected, if someone else manages to acquire the information by himself, without unfair practices, the secret’s holder is not able to stop the use of the information or the license of the information to other people.
