What is Securitization?
The procedure of Securitization occurs when specific categories of assets referred as securities, are (being pooled and then reloaded into interest-bearing securities. The interest- bearing securities constitute a category of financial instrument in which the investor lends money to a business that pays back interest on a specified way and (period of) time. The issuer sells the set of assets to investors. The interest and principal payments are transferred to the buyers of the securities. The process of Securitization releases capital and offers opportunities to shareholders, and in this way liquidity is being made in the markets.
