Oikonomakis Law Provides Legal Support and Vindicates Major Construction Company in Dispute with the State for Alleged Damage of €10,000,000 – May 2023 – Greece

At Oikonomakis Law, we took on the comprehensive legal support for a major construction company and represented it appropriately. The company was suspected of cross-border VAT fraud, tax evasion, and involvement in a criminal organization engaged in a carousel fraud scheme.

Our team, in collaboration with forensic accountants, conducted extensive research and analysis. We filed two appeals before the European Prosecutor and objections before the Tax and Banking Authorities. We successfully managed this complex issue, resulting in the issuance of Decision No. 2991-2023, which led to the release of the company’s bank accounts and the case being archived, even while the company was still alleged to be involved in the aforementioned offenses.
