DROMIA 2022 took place with great success on Thursday, June 2, at the Municipal Stadium of Vari “KONSTANTINOS BAGLATZIS”. The Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni hosted 150+ foreign athletes of ten nationalities from 10 national teams from all over Europe and Israel and the participation was greater than ever.

As expected, the sports fans had the opportunity to see great races with top sprinters claiming good ratings through DROMIA 2022 that are now part of the WA Continental Tour series. Among the Greek athletes who participated in DROMIA 2022, were Dimitra Gnafaki, Andriana Ferra, Anais Karagianni, Rafaela Spanoudaki, Artemis Anastasiou, Costas Zikos, Giannis Nyfantopoulos and Nikos Ebeoglou.

Rafaela Spanoudaki managed to stand out with 23.24 (+1.8) in the women’s 200m while Artemis-Melina Anastasiou set her own individual record in the 200m with a time of 23.31. Adriana Ferra in the women’s 400m won the race with 53.83 while Dimitra Gnafaki in the Women’s 400m hurdles finished second with 57.26.

The sporting event was covered live by ERT and after the end of the games and the awards ceremony, traditional dancers picked up the “baton”.

“Oikonomakis Law” was a Major Sponsor of DROMIA 2022 “INTERNATIONAL SPRINT & RELAY MEETING”, fully supporting the A.C. DROMEAS VARIS and the Sports, Culture and Childhood Education Organisation of the Municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni, and promoting the Olympic spirit and values, participation in sports, living a healthy lifestyle and “Fair play”.
